On Sunday, January 19/2014 we adopted “Freddy” from Arbed Rescue. The result has been horrendous. Within three hours of having Freddy home with us I contacted Debra to explain the situation, and to let her know that Freddy was not at all the dog she had described. I asked if I could bring him back to her, since he was making my children miserable – my daughter was afraid of him because of his out of control behaviour, and we couldn’t have him in the same room as my son because Freddy would go after him relentlessly – even after we had given him a Gravol (Debra directed us to do this) to try to calm him down. Debra told us that she would not refund our money, and persisted in trying to guilt me into keeping Freddy. Throughout the time that we had Freddy (ONE DAY - we could not keep him with our children!) I asked several times that Debra be so kind as to refund even part of the adoption fee, as she had clearly misrepresented this dog in her advertisements and in her conversations with me, and had clearly not evaluated him properly. In fact, over the course of the day that we had “Freddy”, Debra used the information I provided her with regards to his personality, needs, and size to RE-WRITE the advertisements posted on Petfinder.com and arbedrescue.com, and used photos I had sent to her. (I have screen shots of the various alterations she made to Freddy’s listing over the course of our time with him.) If we were being unreasonable, if we were wrong about “Freddy” and his not being the dog she originally described, Debra would not have felt it necessary to change his description on her website. I have requested that $300 of the $400 we paid for Freddy be refunded to us as we had no choice but to return the dog to Arbed/Debra, but she refuses. I feel that Debra Rossetti has scammed my family, and is keeping money that is not rightfully hers. I would hate for another family to be blindsided the way my family was, and to lose their money when another dog is poorly evaluated and misrepresented by Arbed Resc
