I saw Laverne's interview on CTV on Saturday Night. It made me smile because he appeared More nervous in front of the camera then he does In life or death situations. It doesn't surprise me As Pete does not like to be the centre of attention. I have witnessed Pete's dedication and commitment To the first responders and the fire department For years. He is the guy you want there when Your in trouble and need help. Whether your life is On the line or your burning a field - Pete is the Guy to call. And the community of midale is forever Indebted to mr. Laverne Hockey.

Laverne is an absolute asset to the town of Midale. His courage, strength, compassion, Commitment and dedication to the fire department And first responders is admirable. His countless Hours of service to his community is outstanding And lacks recognition. Laverne is always there rain Or shine, day or night. He has helped our family In countless ways and we will be forever grateful.
